End of Service Gratuity according to Labour Law
The main law governing this condition is Labour Law No. 14 of 2004. The payment is ensured even if the contract is terminated early by the worker, provided the termination is for a valid reason as outlined in the law (Article 51).

Duration of the Contract

A common misconception is that the legal minimum gratuity rate automatically increases after five or ten years of service.
The current and updated minimum standard, as per Article 54 of Law No. 14 of 2004, is:
- The employer shall pay a gratuity that is not less than a three-week wage (21 days) for every year of employment.
The rule previously stating that the gratuity increases to four or five weeks after 5 or 10 years is not the current minimum statutory requirement.
